In a judicious attempt to make Australian music’s night of nights more like Australian music festivals everywhere circa 2013, nominated upstarts – Perth psych-lords Tame Impala and Sydney laptop whisperer Flume – have been confirmed to play live at this year’s 2013 ARIA music awards.
The symbolic spirit animals of Gen Y Australians everywhere will be joined on the performance dais by a diverse range of musicians including Birds Of Tokyo, Vance Joy, Bliss N Eso, Jessica Mauboy, Samantha Jade, Sheppard, The Potbelleez, Stafford Brothers and Alison Wonderland, ensuring that no matter what unintentional weirdness happens to transpire during the ceremony itself we can always just bask in the Eisteddfod-grade stage production of the performances.
