Fest Favs Sticky Fingers Reveal Indefinite Hiatus, Cite “Internal Issues”

Aussie festival mainstays Sticky Fingers have announced they’ll be taking an indefinite hiatus, prompted by “internal issues in the band.”

A statement posted to the genre-bending band’s Facebook page says those issues have “heightened to the point where it’s not fair to anyone involved for us not to do something.”

At time of writing, details of those “issues” have not been directly addressed by the Sydney act.

The statement says the band will attempt to honour all of their live commitments over the New Year period, before putting any future plans on ice.

We’ll update this story as it develops.

Read the full statement below:

“For some time we’ve been dealing with some internal issues in the band.

They’ve heightened to the point where it’s not fair to anyone involved for us not to do something.

We have looked for help to try to get through this and will continue to do so.

As a result we’re going to try to finish the shows we have booked over New Years to the best of our ability – then the band will be going on an indefinite hiatus.

We would like to apologise to anyone that has been effected by this.”
