Feist and Jarvis Cocker Go To The Arctic

In order to promote the dangers of global warming Feist, Jarvis Cocker, Martha Wainwright, Ryuichi Sakamoto, KT Tunstall, Laurie Anderson, and Vanessa Carlton are on their way to the Arctic. Presumably to escape the ubiquity of Feists’ music…

Despite sounding like the premise for the World’s worst film (I’m thinking a shit version of Pauly Shore’s “Bio-Dome”) the aforementioned musicians are in fact making their way to Greenland to battle climate change.
The project goes by the name of “Cape Farewell” and was conceived by artist David Buckland. Their website states:

“Cape Farewell has brought together our leading artists, writers, scientists, educators and media for a series of expeditions into the wild and challenging High Arctic. Together they have mapped, measured and been inspired by this awesome environment and have endeavoured to bring home stories and artworks that tell how a warming planet is impacting on this wilderness.”

I can only hope that all those involved gather at night for rousing renditions of the following song. I’m not even close to joking.
