Who needs enemies when you have this many friends?
Multi Grammy-award winning rapper Eminem has received possibly the ultimate compliment with last night’s revelation that he has the most Facebook fans on the planet. With nearly 29 million ‘Likes’ according to media statistics service Famecount, the angriest white guy on Earth is officially now the most popular.
Slim Shady has been in a longstanding competition with Lady GaGa (who is nipping at his heels with some 28 million fans of her own), who he recently pipped for the top spot. Famecount says in the past few months, “Eminem been recruiting 546,000 new fans each week – equivalent to a large city and more than the population of Luxembourg.”
The only entertainer on Facebook with more fans (and technically out of the race) than Eminem is the deceased King Of Pop, Michael Jackson, but if Eminem’s profile keeps rising, he may not hold onto the top spot for much longer.
