DZ Deathrays Are Hunting For Heavy-Partying ‘Interns’ On Their Upcoming Tour

DZ Deathrays are running a competition to find ‘interns’ to keep the “fucking lit party” going on their upcoming national tour.

Some lad(y) who has always fantasised about getting absolutely reekin’ with the boys is about to be made incredibly happy.

According to the short vid, styled as a newspaper ad, interns are required to:

Distribute post show high fives to the performers.

Act as an intermediary between the backstage refreshments riders and the performers.

Refrain from nuking the talent. (however polite compliments referring to the artists performances will be acceptable).

Ensure that the backstage area remains ‘a fucking lit party’ at all times.

Be in possession of dice (minimum of 5 die) at all times incase of any gambling requirements which may arise.

Be responsible for coordinating and providing any pizza or Nandos requirements.

Refrain from direct eye contact with guitarist Lachlan Ewbank by all means necessary.

Translation: give ’em high fives, beers, Nandos, pizza; always carry dice on you; don’t look their touring guitarist in the eye; don’t be a meanie; and finally, and most importantly, have a fucking wild-arse party, YA BLOODY LEGENDS.

All you gotta do for the chance to get belted, steamin’, annihilated, riggity wrecked – and cop two AAA passes to a DZ show of your choice – is film a video explaining why you’re the ol’ mate for the job then upload it to Instagram or Twitter.

According to the Ts and Cs your video’s gonna be judged on its “literary skill, creative merit, suitability to the question and relevance to the Frontier Touring brand“. But i reckon you could totally argue the literary skill of filming your entry as one long slur when you’re off tits. We believe in you.

DZ Deathrays’ tenth anniversary tour, with support from Canadian punks PUP, kicks off in Fremantle on Thursday 13 September, before raging into Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
