Disappointing news for fans of British post-rock band Doves this morning. The trio have announced the cancellation of their ‘The Best Of Doves’ Australian tour, planned for February. Here is the official statement from the band:
“We regret to announce that due to circumstances beyond our control we have been forced to cancel our forthcoming tour of Australia.
This is a decision we have not taken lightly and our sincere apologies go out to anyone who has bought tickets for the shows and for any inconvenience caused.”
Refunds for the Doves headline shows (only) will be available from the point of purchase.
The band were also due to appear at Playground Weekender. Festival organisers will announce a replacement act in the coming weeks.
