In a hectic story to start the weekend off, ‘Panda‘ rapper Desiigner has been arrested on a number of felony charges after what has been described as a ‘road rage’ incident involving his entourage in New York.
The incident saw Desiigner – real name Sidney Shelby III – charged with criminal possession of a loaded weapon, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and ‘menacing’, after he allegedly pointed a gun at the driver of another vehicle.
Shelby and four associated are said to have left the scene of the alleged road rage altercation, driving away in their SUV, but the driver of the other vehicle took their licence plate details down, and the NYPD found them soon after.
Per a police statement, a search of the SUV uncovered “Oxycontin and various other prescription pills” in the centre console, and the other passengers, including hypeman Michael Davis, are all facing possession charges.
As of press time, Desiigner remains in custody, and his reps have not commented on the incident.
