Dappled Cities – The new Wiggles?
21 is such a shit age, essentially I’ve pretty much got no more birthdays to look forward to. Yeah, I know 30 is the new 25 and so on but by then I’ll most likely be bald. Who wants to celebrate a birthday bald… Kind of wishing I was a toddler again so I could psych out to Yo Gabba Gabba and have DAPPLED CITIES SING ME THE ALPHABET.
Yes you read it correctly; have Dappled Cities sing me the alphabet!
During their recent U.S. tour / studio time Dappled Cities took the time out to head to Disney land and record 26 brand new songs for Disney’s Playhouse “Alphabreaks,” each song themed to a certain letter in the alphabet.
Much to even the most Daria-esque cynical indie fans surprise, it’s actually amazing! Every one of their 26 themed songs is riddled with infectious groove and funky bass lines leaving me actually pretty sad at the thought that I’ll most likely never get to see them performed live. Props to Dappled for putting themselves out there and doing it well.
