Dozens of Aussie celebs have been nominated in PETA’s annual search for the world’s sexiest vegetarian. Among them are noted Aussie vegos Lindsay ‘The Doctor” McDougall, Isabel Lucas and Andrew G as well as a few celebrities who we had no idea were vegetarian: Adalita, Abbie Cornish, Shuan Micallef, The Church’s Steve Kilbey, Sia, Portia de Rossi, Sophie Monk, Xavier Rudd (actually not that surprising), model Myf Shepherd, Missy Higgins, Marieke Hardy, Imogen Bailey, Deni Hines, Daniel Johns, Ash Grunwald and two members of Cut Copy (Tim Hooey and Mitchell Scott) and Tame Impala (Dominic Simper and Kevin Parker).
This isn’t so much a call to vote as a chance for us to go “wow, we had no idea YOU were vegetarian”. I mean, Shuan Micallef? We didn’t see that one coming.
The winner will be decided through four different categories: votes received, the celebrity’s commitment to vegetarianism, PETA’s assessment of their attractiveness, and the media-friendliness of their personality (which likely rules out vegan advocate Mike Tyson).
