In PETA’s ongoing and potentially misguided crusade to link sex appeal with animal rights, former Home and Away star and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen actress Isabel Lucas has been named Australia’s Sexiest Vegetarian for 2010.
Apparently the actress turned vegetarian after watching the documentary Earthlings at the home of Red Hot Chili Peppers lead singer Anthony Kiedis and her diet now consists of “lots of veggies and pasta and nuts, tofu and soups”. For those who care, Lucas beat out actress Abbie Cornish, model Myf Shepherd, television presenter Ruby Rose, musician Missy Higgins and writer Marieke Hardy to claim the award that perennially marginalizes sexy meat eaters and ugly vegetarians everywhere.
