Cop This Aussie Dude’s 100% Darude Approved ‘Snowstorm’ Cover

The classic banger that is Darude‘s ‘Sandstorm‘ never fails to bring a tear to our eyes, whether it’s counting down to the exact stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve or blasting out as Christmas lights blink in perfect time.
The same apparently goes for Aussie James Anthony, who decided that his current snowy surrounds in Niseko, Japan would be the perf backdrop for a cheeky cover. He felt compelled by the power of Darude to brave freezing temperatures and create a wintry, acoustic version of the 2001 track: thus ‘Snowstorm‘ was born.
It’s racking up views on Facebook and even has the seal of approval from the man himself:
Self-confessed “avid meme-lover” Anthony told PEDESTRIAN.TV that the status of ‘Sandstorm’ as “the greatest musical meme of all time” encouraged him to chuck the cover in during his regular sets, and when it snowed, a unique opportunity presented itself.
As for the risk of “frost-bitten fingers”? Welp. Anthony reckons it was worth it, and that “I can die a happy man” after the OG Finnish legend chucked his version a like.
Now go ahead and enjoy. Gurn responsibly:
