Charlotte Gainsbourg was last seen mutilating Willem Dafoe’s genitalia so it’s refreshing to see the French chanteuse, actress and fashion muse return to softer, less crotch frightening territory.
In support of her latest project (a dreamy musical collaboration with professional oddball Beck) Gainsbourg has previewed “IRM” the lead single from a forthcoming album of the same name. The track draws inspiration from Gainsbourg’s experience with MRI scanners following a water-skiing accident and is meditative and claustrophobic in equal measure.
