Cardi B, a newly-famous person whose name you’ve probably heard a hundred times these past few months without fully understanding why, has found herself in some potential legal trouble, thanks to a sexually explicit image on an early album cover.
Back in 2016, the ‘Bodak Yellow‘ rapper released her first mixtape, Gangta Bitch Music Vol 1, and it came with some … interesting cover art. The sexually-explicit image shows her sipping Corona in the back of a limo while a heavily tattooed man eats her downstairs.
While that in itself sounds like a very fine way to spend a lazy afternoon, the issue is that the man in question says he never gave permission for his image to be used in such a heavily-sexual manner, and is now suing for a cool $5 million.
Model Kevin Brophy says that he did not know his image would be used in such a way, and only found out about the mixtape when a friend asked “how crazy is it that you’re cunnilinging [sic] this rapper called Cardi B?”
Brophy reckons that he is readily identifiable in the image thanks to the distinctive tattoo, which shows a tiger fighting a snake, and furthermore, is upset about the impact that the album cover might have on his family.
According to TMZ, Brophy’s son has been asking a lot of uncomfortable questions like “what Daddy was doing in the picture, and who’s that girl?”
Cardi B has not yet responded to the suit, but whatever happens, we’re grateful for the word “cunnlingining” and will use it every day.
