Calvin Harris Immortalises Aussie Fans In Video

Calvin Harris released a music video this week comprised entirely of footage from his recent Australian gigs.

‘Awooga’ features loads of crowd shots of (presumably) rabid Scottish house music fans across the country losing their shit for the crossover electro champion, who was here as support for megastar Rihanna. There’s also some bizarre product placement including Patron tequila, Berocca and an Akai television. Says Harris, “it’s not product placement unless they pay you for it,” before explaining “Akai made my first sampler! Akai S950 what you know about that?! I had no idea they made TVs!”

‘Awooga’ represents a change of pace for the ‘Flashback’ star; more rave-y than his previous output and entirely devoid of lyrics. Perhaps Patron and Berocca fries the brain. Or maybe Harris realised that a whopping 0% of RiRi’s fans were born in the ’80s, and decided it was time to head back to the drawing board. The track will be released through dance music monolith Beatport next week.
