Well, shit.
Rihanna‘s just cancelled her Grammys performance at the eleventh hour.
According to her rep, she’s been fighting an infection and is at risk of haemorrhaging her vocal chords. Her doctor has put her on vocal rest for 48 hours, meaning she won’t be performing the now ironically named single ‘Kiss It Better‘ from her new album ANTi.
Here’s the statement:
“Based on Rihanna‘s examination, after Grammy rehearsal today, Rihanna‘s doctor put her on vocal rest for 48-hours because she was at risk of hemorrhaging her vocal chords.
“The antibiotics she has been on for 3-days did not kill the infection adequately therefore she cannot perform safely.”
A bunch of stella performances from Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Andra Day, Ellie Goulding and more (wrap-up post coming) have already aired with bunches more to come, but damn. Rihanna would have slayed.
