Bon Iver Just Added A Second Dark Mofo Show Due To Overwhelming Amounts Of Winter Goths

Looks like everyone is real keen to go and have a big cry in the middle of winter at Hobart’s Dark Mofo, because Bon Iver has had to go and announce a second show for the annual winter solstice festival.

After the first show announced at MAC2 over the June long weekend in 2020, and marked the first artist to be making the journey into the darkened depths of the Big Spooky Festival, a second show has just dropped for June 12 at the same venue.

The two shows at Dark Mofo sit in the midst of a huge Australian tour that the Bon Iver collective has announced, which is set to bring the group’s fourth studio album, i,i, to life.

Justin Vernon and the winder Bon Iver family will now play on both June 12 and 13 in Hobart, doubling our chances of having a Big Cry off the mainland, before heading into the night to probably wind up at a rave in an abandoned warehouse until 4am.

Presale tickets for the festival dates go on sale from 10am local time on December 3 through the Dark Mofo website, with the general sale happening from 11am on Thursday, December 5.

So gather your spookiest mates and get planning, Dark Mofo is a hell of a couple of weeks in Tassie, and I can attest to that. See ya at Goth Schoolies.
