Beyoncé Drops Surprise Album ‘Beyonce: The Visual Album’ Feat. Blue Ivy, Changes Everything

ATTN: Haters, bow down to the left.

In a move that nobody saw coming and following a series of leaks and word from her label that the follow up to 4 wouldn’t be released until next year, Beyoncé has just fucked up the game by dropping a ‘surprise’ new album – her fifth – titled ‘BEYONCÈ: The Visual Album’. This literally changes everything, you guys.
“I didn’t want to release my music the way I’ve done it. I am bored with that. I feel like I am able to speak directly to my fans. There’s so much that gets between the music, the artist and the fans. I felt like I didn’t want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it’s ready and from me to my fans,” said Yoncé.
BEYONCÈ features fourteen songs and seventeen videos, and includes appearances from Drake, Jay Z, Frank Ocean, Justin Timberlake, Kelly Rowland, and Blue Ivy on a video called ‘Blue feat. Blue Ivy’. Oh, and Michelle Williams is on there too. This must’ve been what Bey was cookin’ up during her recent Australian sojourn; altering the course of human history, performing a sold out world tour, raising a rich baby; having it all – classic Bey move!
“I see music. It’s more than just what I hear. When I’m connected to something I immediately see a visual or a series of images that are tied to a feeling or an emotion,” says Bey of The Visual Album in an orientation video posted to The BeyHive [Facebook for the rest of you] featuring the album’s frankly incredible visuals and samples of select songs. “We made this a movie. We made this an experience… I will make my best art and that’s why I put it out today.”
The best album of 2013 – I haven’t even listened to it and I feel pretty confident making that call – is available now on iTunes and you can watch 30 second previews of the eighteen videos on her YouTube channel.
