BECK AND DANGERMOUSE

‘It was the most intensive work I’ve ever done on anything…It was like trying to fit two years of songwriting into two and a half months…I know I did at least 10 weeks with no days off, until four or five in the morning every night.’ So says Beck of his upcoming album produced by none other than knob-twiddler extraordinaire Dangermouse (sorry if that sounded a little perverse). The first fruits of Beck’s labour “Chemtrails” can be heard streaming from his Myspace and is a meandering psych pop gem recalling Seachange era Beck, with a dash of LSD. Beck’s genre hopping eclecticism combined with Dangermouse’s off kilter production should prove to be a match made in weirdo heaven…I can’t wait!
