Celebrities are now loudly and proudly declaring their support for pop star Kesha, who is currently in legal battles to cut her contract with the producer who allegedly raped her.
Kesha was told in court earlier this week that her contract would be upheld despite the allegations against producer Dr. Luke, and now, people are rallying for this to be reversed with the hashtag #FreeKesha.
Today at the 2016 BRIT Awards, Adele absolutely cleaned up, taking home four awards including Best British Female Solo Artist.
When she received her award on stage, she thanked her management for respecting the fact she’s a woman, and then publicly declared her support for Kesha.
“I’d like to thank my management and record label for embracing the fact that I’m a woman and being encouraged by it.I’d like to take this moment to publicly support Kesha.”
