Sony Responded To The #FreeKesha Campaign And Answered Nothing

Sony Music has finally addressed the current legal battles that are occurring for Kesha.
ICYMI, Kesha attempted to break her contract with Sony that linked her and a producer called Dr. Luke, who she has accused of raping her multiple times.
Since the court ruling that Kesha’s contract would be upheld, fans and celebrities alike have vocalised their support for the popstar in public or via the hashtag #FreeKesha. Adele used her acceptance speech at the BRIT Awards to publicly share her support, and Taylor Swift donated $250,000 to Kesha to help her with legal fees.
Sony Music, who have previously been silent on the issue, have finally made a statement on this situation:

“Sony has made it possible for Kesha to record without any connection, involvement or interaction with Luke whatsoever, but Sony is not in a position to terminate the contractual relationship between Luke and Kesha.

Sony is doing everything it can to support the artist in these circumstances, but is legally unable to terminate the contract to which it is not a party.”
