‘Errbody be speculating as the Splendour rumour mill kicks into overdrive less than a week before the festival’s first official lineup announcement. A trio of genial Britons – Coldplay, Elbow and Pulp – were yesterday reported as locks and today rumours abound that Kanye West and James Blake will be too. According to The Music Network industry sources confirm that West is “all but officially announced” while The Music infers a James Blake appearance based on the fact he’ll be Down Under in July. Those names join fellow locks Friendly Fires, The Kills and The Vaccines who prematurely divulged their Splendour slots to prying local media outlets. Always with the questions you prying local media outlets.
