In a crushing blow to anticipation levels at Australia Day BBQs everywhere, ABC’s online shop has inadvertently revealed the winner of Triple J’s annual “Hottest 100” poll. The winning track, “Little Lion Man” by Mumford & Sons, was mentioned in an online synopsis of the February issue of Triple J’s print publishing brethren jmag.
“Topping the 2009 countdown is Mumford & Sons’ ‘Little Lion Man’, and jmag scored an exclusive chat with the frontrunners of the UK nu-folk movement.”
On the bright side at least Powder Hilltop Finger Chair didn’t ensnare number one.
