4 things Daft Punk Can Do In Wee Waa

No offence Wee Waa, but compiling a comprehensive list of activities for visiting retro-futuristic French DJs/Robots was kinda tough. Obviously, thy robotic ones will enjoy the clean country air and company of hard working, down-to-earth Wee Waarians, but if we want to give them some stories to tell the robots back home, we’ll need to organise something a little special. With the May 17th global launch date looming, here are our top 4 things for Daft Punk to do in Wee Waa.

Visit the CSIRO Telescope and Satellites

Robots love satellites, obviously. It has even been reported that Wee Waa’s collection of satellites and telescopes was one of it’s trump cards when the town was short-listed by the french duo. The good people of Parkes and Coonabarabran must be pissed.

Admire the Big Apple

[UPDATE – It has been brought to our attention that the Big Apple is not actually in Wee Waa. Daft Punk will have to travel to Yerrinboo, Tulimbah, Batlow

if they are intent on seeing a Big Apple. They’ve come this far, right?]

Okay, so it’s more like the small to medium-small apple on the foodstuffs Australians celebrate with over-sized monuments scale, but it’s an attraction nonetheless. I told you this was tough.

Drop by for a chat on 2Max FM 91.3

This is about publicity after all. Providing 2Max FM 91.3 broadcast live from the Wee Waa show once again this year, it would provide the perfect platform for the people of Wee Waa and surrounding towns to get to know the Parisian beat makers. Perhaps Frank Crump, current holder Barry Hogan Memorial Trophy, for Most Improved New Announcer could moderate the discussion?

Judge the Best In Show at the Wee Waa show Jam Competition.

Getting to the business end of the visit, will the French duo be enlisted to officiate the annual jam competition? A clear and unanimous verdict could finally end the bitter and longstanding rivalry, answering once and for all, whose conserve is better, Mrs Smith’s strawberry jam, or Patty’s blood orange marmalade.
