The iPhone Feature You Never Knew Existed Could Save Your Life

Your iPhone continues to prove itself as the ultimate mate.

Certainly one worth waiting for.

The powers that be – Apple Inc. – have created a feature on your iPhone called ‘Medical ID‘ that helps professionals access your medical info and treat you in your time of need, even when your phone is locked.

Available within its ‘Health’ app (available on iOS 8 or later), Medical ID will store important info like your DOB, age, weight, height, medical conditions, allergies & reactions, blood type, etc.

FUN FACT! Working in the ER we’ve had many patients come in and have had no way of knowing who they were or how to…

There isn’t even one reason why you shouldn’t have this on your phone.

How to set it up on your iPhone:

1. Access the ‘Health’ App.

2. Select ‘Medical ID’ on the bottom right of the menu screen.

3. Enter all your medical information and choose a ~respectable~ profile picture.

4. You’re set.

You can’t get it Android yet but there are some similar alternatives available, albeit with limited function, including Medical ID and ICE: In Case Of Emergency and this.
