‘No Man’s Sky’ Finally Gets What It Was Missing All This Time: Rainbows

Barely a month after the launch of No Man’s Sky‘s last free update, The Abyss, Hello Games has another one ready to go, adding wild new fauna and flora, new biomes, rainbows, and more to its enormous universe.

the Visions update aims to create a “weirder, more surprising universe,” including new things to do like salvaging “mysterious artifacts” and digging up big alien skeletons for cash. That’s right, you can become a goddamn alien archaeologist. You can even show off your discoveries in your base like trophies.

Crashed ships and satellites can now be salvaged for scrap and new crystal materials can be harvested from hazardous planets. That new flora I mentioned earlier is also capable of fucking you right up, not to mention the dangerous new fauna, so watch yourself out there.

There’ll also be rainbows now if that’s something that tickles your fancy. You can check out the Visions trailer below.

Community Research projects will become easier to track in terms of individual and group progress. Completing these missions will grant rewards like “new emotes, building parts and a range of fireworks.”

I’ve said it so many times before, but this should have been the game that was released in the first place. There’s now so much to see and do in the No Man’s Sky universe it almost makes my head spin. The Visions update drops for free tomorrow on PS4, PC, and Xbox One.

Still a little hazy on what the fuck bitcoin is? We’ve got you covered, mate.
