Once again, we’re seeing Fortnite more and more in the real world, and not just via Epic Games‘ insane marketing. This time, it was French football player, Antoine Griezmann, who brought the game screaming into the mainstream.

During the World Cup final against Croatia, Griezmann celebrated a dramatic goal by performing the “Take the L” dance, which is a popular emote in the battle royale game. You can see it in action for yourself below.
Clearly, the dance is meant to mock the loser, which is why old mate has caught some flack for doing it. Check out his version of the dance in the clip below.

It’s not the first time he’s pulled it out, either. Earlier in the tournament, he did it to Argentina after scoring against them.
Griezmann has been widely panned for the dance and to be honest, I can see why. It comes across as massively childish and pretty lame.
