If you’re a true crime obsessive like myself, then I know you’ll absolutely love this news: Channel Nine‘s streaming service 9Now is adding 13 new documentaries to their catalogue this Sunday. What’s better than spending a lazy Sunday watching an extremely grim tale of death and / or destruction? Nothing, in my opinion.
But even if you don’t want to watch them on Sunday, the good news is since it’s 9Now, they’re available for you to watch whenever you damn please. It’s on demand, folks.
And we’re talking some big-name stuff, including Charles Manson, Golden State Killer, Slenderman and R. Kelly related content, so you best get your true crime watching schedule planned out.
Here’s a rundown of what’s coming to 9Now on April 28:
Surviving R. Kelly
A six-part documentary series exploring the allegations of abuse, paedophilia, and predatory behaviour toward women levelled against R&B singer R. Kelly, featuring over 50 interviews with survivors, musos including John Legend and Sparkle, talk show host Wendy Williams, and Kelly’s family members.
Abused By My Girlfriend
An hour-long doco in which Alex Sheel shares his survival story after abuse suffered at the hands of his girlfriend, Jordan Worth, which police described as one of the most extreme cases of domestic violence they’d seen.

Featuring interviews with Manson himself, as well as former cult members Leslie Van Houten and Patricia Krenwinkel.
Children Who Kill
In this one-hour film, Susanna Reid goes behind bars to meet convicted murders who committed their crimes when they were children, to investigate whether they should ever be freed.

Murdered By My Daughter
This hour-long true crime doco explores the story of Kim Edwards and her boyfriend Lucas Markham who were aged just 14 when they plotted and carried out the murders of Kim’s mother and 13-year-old sister.
8 months pregnant Laci Peterson mysteriously vanished from her home in California on Christmas Eve in 2002, and this doco uses never before seen archival footage to chart the arrest and conviction of her husband Scott Peterson for Laci’s murder.
A look at the 51-day siege that occurred at the Branch Davidian compound in Texas in 1993, resulting in 76 deaths.
Golden State Killer: Main Suspect
This doco looks at one of the most infamous true crime stories in US history, a mystery that remained unsolved for decades until DNA linked Joseph James DeAngelo to 12 murders, 45 sexual assaults and more than 120 burglaries between 1976 and 1986.
