Around ten years ago, living treasure Jessica Walter appeared in the now-mostly-forgotten reboot of 90210 – the Pittsburgh Post Gazette called her performance “one of the main reasons to watch the show”, which seems pretty fair in retrospect. During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Walter reminisced about 90210, and was very surprised to discover that a young Meghan Markle also appeared in several early episodes.
The now Duchess of Sussex was then an aspiring actress who had played small roles on shows like CSI and General Hospital. IMDB lists the name of her 90210 character as ‘Wendy‘, but Andy Cohen went ahead and identified her by the more … descriptive name of “the girl performing oral in the car.” Jessica Walter was somewhat taken aback by this information. “Are you serious?” she said. “I wasn’t in that scene.”
“I just think it’s wonderful what they’re doing,” Walter added, of the recent royal wedding. “They seem so happy and in love and I hope it goes on forever.”
