‘Love Island’ Stars Chris Hughes & Olivia Attwood Have Officially Split Up

Love is a lie, or Love Island is a lie, or SOMETHING is a lie, I don’t know, but the point of all this is that Chris Hughes and Olivia Attwood, a couple forged in the fires of reality television, have officially called it quits.

The fan-favourite couple, who met on the smang-fest that is Love Island, were recently given the highest of TV honours in the form of their own spin-off show, Chris and Olivia: Crackin’ On, which was to be about them moving in together and making their relationship work.

(Chris had previously starred on a different spin-off show, Chris & Kem: Straight Outta Love Island, which was about him writing a rap song to perform at a Ministry Of Sound event. British reality TV is fucking wild, folks).

Last month, there were rumors that the unthinkable had happened and Chris and Olivia had split – this week, this was confirmed, when the finale of Crackin’ On aired, featuring a fiery row between the two, and culminating in them going their separate ways.

Olivia accused Chris of being abusive towards her at an awards show, then Chris accused Olivia of sending “muggy” texts to her ex Bradley Dack, then they both accused each-other of leaking stories to the press via their reps.

It’s all wildly confusing but the UK’s Daily Mail has the lowdown on what happened, which included a lot of screaming and cursing and apparently, the destruction of beloved plastic doll Baby Cash. Here they are in happier times:

Olivia took to her Instagram stories yesterday to thank fans for their messages of support, saying “I knew it was never going to be smooth ride but what I always wanted was to give people something honest, and relateable.”

Chris’ most recent Instagram update was a sponsored post for a UK betting company, so good on him:
