Jason Momoa & Nicole Kidman Take On Their Fishy Forms In 1st ‘Aquaman’ Trailer

In case ya haven’t noticed from the butt load of social media snaps, Comic-Con, one of pop culture’s grandest events, is currently going down in San Diego and with it, a bunch of epic teasers have been unleashed including the very first trailer for Aquaman.

The movie’s lead star Jason Momoa appeared at the convention on Saturday to introduce the two-minute-long trailer, along with Australian film director James Wan who took the reigns of the DC flick.

Wan (Furious 7) described the film as being more science fiction-based than fantasy, as per traditional superhero movies.

“I want our film to be a little different, a bit more unique, so to speak,” he told the crowd. “So my movie in some ways plays more like a science fiction fantasy film than a traditional superhero movie.”

In the trailer, we’re introduced to the character’s origin story, featuring Nicole Kidman as Aquaman’s mother, Queen Atlanna.

We also see Amber Heard as a fiery red headed Mera who gives Aquaman some words of advice before jumping out of a plane sans parachute.

“Redheads, you gotta love ’em,” Aquaman says as he follows her out of the door.

The movie is set for a Boxing Day release. Cop the glorious trailer below:
