The newest trailer for critically-acclaimed Netflix series House of Cards proves that season 6 might just be its most poignant season yet.
President Claire Underwood (played by the fabulous Robin Wright) speaks the following immortal words: “The reign of the middle-aged white man is over.”
Considering the downfall of disgraced former co-star Kevin Spacey, those words seem extremely relevant, don’t they?
“My first 100 days as president have been difficult. I lost my husband. We were about to celebrate 30 years together,” she said. “Whatever Francis told you in the last five years, don’t believe a word of it.”
Newcomers Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear appear this season as siblings with ties to the Underwoods, along with Aussie Cody Fern alongside Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Patricia Clarkson, Constance Zimmer, Derek Cecil, Campbell Scott and Boris McGiver.
Melissa James Gibson and Frank Pugliese continue to serve as showrunners and as executive producers along with Wright, David Fincher, Joshua Donen, Dana Brunetti, Eric Roth, Michael Dobbs and Andrew Davies.
