When Kevin Spacey was excised from House Of Cards due to the influx of sexual assault allegations levelled against the actor, there was a fair bit of speculation as to how the landmark political drama would handle his character, President Frank Underwood.

A new trailer for the show’s final season answers that question. He’s fucking dead.
The latest clip from the Netflix flagship shows Frank’s on-screen wife and successor President Claire Underwood standing above his grave. With barely any emotion other than indignation, Underwood – played by a steely Robin Wright – says her funeral will attract far more mourners.
While the trailer doesn’t elaborate on the cause of Frank’s death, it does provide a somewhat clear slate for Claire’s continued presidency.
The earliest teasers for the new season centred the show around her newfound residency in the Oval Office, and you’ll be able to see what political betrayals she orchestrates when the series arrives on November 2.
