It is no secret that John Travolta‘s new gangster biopic Gotti – a passion project he has been pursuing for some time – stinks. It’s currently sitting on an incredibly rare 0% on Rotten Tomatoes, which while not absolutely definitive, suggests that it’s possibly not a great movie. It’s been described as a “shitshow” and an “incoherent mess” by critics, who universally lambasted it.
But because we live in the era of Donald Trump, where your aptitude and success is defined only by how loud and aggressive you are rather than any particular skill on your own part, the Gotti team has released a new and completely goddamn insane social media trailer for the movie absolutely revelling in the fact critics hate it.
To clarify once again, the trailer is bonkers:

“WHO WOULD YOU TRUST MORE? YOURSELF, OR A TROLL BEHIND A KEYBOARD?” quite frankly should be the tagline for every single movie that critics slam.
They may have a slight point, though! Despite the fact it scored an abysmal 0% on Rotten Tomatoes, it landed a very respectable 78% for its audience score. The lone user review on the website reads “Just got back from seeing this and I loved it!”
So let’s be honest here: who would you trust more? Yourself… or a TROLL BEHIND A KEYBOARD?
