Zach Braff Writing Script For New Film

Although it’s still far from seeing the light of day, Zach Braff is in the early stages of writing a script for his next original film. And since ‘Garden State’ was released six years ago, it has many of us curious as to what direction this actor/writer/director could take this time around.

In a recent interview with Time Out New York, he revealed that although it’s too early to talk the plot, it will be “something more in the Garden State oeuvre.”

Meanwhile, Braff will begin directing ‘Swingles’; a rom/com that he rewrote back in May of last year. The story will follow a bachelor who’s been abandoned by his wingman and thus teams up with a woman he resents in order to meet singles. The film is also expected to star Cameron Diaz.

“There were a couple times I tried to put together a movie, and for one delicious Hollywood reason or another, they never came to fruition…” he told Time Out.

As well as that the actor will also begin writing his first theatrical play and has a role in the upcoming off-Broadway comedy, ‘Trust’ alongside Bobby Cannavale (Third Watch), Sutton Foster and Ari Graynor; which explores the corrosive effect of power in relationships.

See ya later, this guy!
