Will Ferrell Interviews Julia Gillard, Trashes Australian Basketball Team

Will Ferrell stopped by The Project last night to go streaking through the quad make funnies with Australian PM and the proudest ranga in the land, Julia Gillard. The actor, spuriking his upcoming politics-centric comedy The Campaign, started by referencing Gillard’s hairdresser partner Tim Mathieson.

“I suffer from horrible split ends, would you have any advice for me because this hair’s terrible, it’s like horse hair and I’m at my wits end,” he said.

“You need to get yourself to a hairdresser straight away,” The PM advised. “Then spend buckets and buckets of money on in salon treatments, you need to buy everything that they recommend for you to take home.”

Duly noted, Julia. Ferrell then returned the favour with sound advice on mudslinging. “She should just research any sort of superficial fact about the opponent and just hammer away without any sort of conscience whatsoever,” he said. “Because in the end it really won’t matter.”

Later, he engaged in some not-unwarranted trash talk with Aussie basketball hero Patty Mills who faces mission impossible against America’s dream team in the Olympic quarter finals in London this week.

“Are you guys really going to show up?” he asked. “Or are you thinking maybe let’s just take a night off.”

Go fuck yourself, Will Ferrell.
