You don’t really expect mime-focused entertainers to dig into political blow-ups, but not every troupe is The Umbilical Brothers – and not every U.S. leader slam dunks on our PM in their first phone call.
Taking to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the dare-we-say iconic Australian duo took it upon themselves to give an alternative re-telling of the Donald Trump / Malcolm Turnbull shitshow.
Well, they worked through their Velcro bit first, but they did land on the typically unfunny concept of negotiating that refugee deal.
Small hand jokes abound, but damn, it’s hard not to feel just a twinge of patriotism while watching the pair make light of the otherwise rubbish circumstances in front of an American audience.
