Divisive American filmmaker and notoriously passionate sports fan Spike Lee directed the forthcoming HBO documentary about the singularly most divisive figure in boxing with Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth. For all his flaws, crimes and acts of (WBA non-regulation) violence, Mike Tyson is an undeniably fascinating character, and this trailer – comprising scenes of Tyson on stage performing his one man show “Day Of The Champion” punctuated with action footage from the past – has done little to dispel the Tyson mythology.
Love him or hate him, if Undisputed Truth is anywhere near as captivating as Iron Mike’s savant-like mastery of a dartboard it should be worth checking out.
