According to Deadline Spike Lee, Mike Tyson and Entourage creator Doug Ellin will team up for an HBO drama series called Da Brick. Welcome to Da Brick, bitch! The show is loosely based on Tyson’s upbringing and is described as “a contemporary exploration of what it means to be a young, black man in supposedly post-racial America…its set in current-day Newark, NJ, nicknamed “brick city.””
Two questions. When is Spike Lee NOT post racial America? And what is up with HBO and New Jersey?
