WATCH: The Final, V. Hectic ‘Rogue One’ Trailer Dropped & Vader Seems Mad

HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG.
A few days ago, the official film poster for ‘Star Wars’ story ‘Rogue One‘ dropped, and oh god isn’t it just drop dead gorgeous?
(Pls note Darth Vader looming in the top-right of the background. Spooky Vader.)
Now, we’ve been treated to yet another ‘Rogue One‘ trailer, which gives us a helluva lot more footage.
We’ve got a storming Darth Vader (and when he storms like that, you know he mad and you about to get choked), a glimpse at a pretty bloody magnificent Jedi statue on Jedha, and a telling flashback to Galen Erso (Mads Mikkelson) protecting his daughter Jyn Erso (our future leading lady, played by Felicity Jones) from Director Krennic when she was a child.
Plus, a shit-tonne of explosions (that bloody Death Star and its pesky superlaser, I tell ya!), and the sort of cheesy but hope-inspiring line, “Save the Rebellion! Save the dream”.

And so, *so* much more – it’s a pretty tightly-packed trailer, tbh.
While previous trailers have kinda forced you to build up emotional barriers due to the implication that maybe our Rebellion heroes aren’t gonna do so crash hot, this trailer offers a crapload of hope. There’s hope everywhere. The word ‘hope’ is said like a thousand times (twice). Got hope coming out our bloody ears.
And yes, we know that we they have to succeed due to the existence of ‘A New Hope‘, but shhhh c’mon can we just like keep the suspense alive for one goddamn second please?
