A few weeks ago, The Simpsons aired a crossover with its fellow FOX show Family Guy and results were … a little mixed. The long-running show is all set for another crossover episode, but this time, the weird and wonderful Futurama is coming to Springfield.
We’re going to go on record and say that we’re cautiously optimistic about this one, at least based on the recently released couch gag, which shows Homer getting a little too intimate with the Hedonismbot.
The final episode (for now) of Futurama aired on Comedy Central a year ago, although there have been rumblings from the cast and creator Matt Groening since then that the show may return in some form.
The crossover episode, entitled ‘Simpsorama’, airs on Sunday in the U.S.
