She’s definitely the queen of Government-funded informative broadcasting (admittedly not a heavily-contested title) and possibly the Queen of Australia: Lee Lin Chin is crushing it in this, the Year Of Our Lord 2016.
SBS‘s The Feed is teasing us with a promo of a new show she’s going to be in – they’re being very light on the details but I mean, come on, we will watch anything with her in it.
The vid starts with a very tongue-in-cheek idealised version of the SBS office, painting their staff as smiling super-professionals doing the most important job in the world (reading the news).
It culminates in Lee Lin refusing a call from the Prime Minister because she has more important work to do (reading the news), then breaks the 4th wall by having SBS staff (including Chris Leben, who runs Lee Lin’s twitter account) give their appraisal of the trailer.
The show will be called The Weekend Shift, which leads us to believe it will probably be on the weekend, and given it’s from SBS Weekend News, it’s probably about news.
