Ben Affleck’s directorial follow-up to ‘Gone Baby Gone’ follows along the lines of a crime drama, not forgetting of course an interwoven conflict of romance.
‘The Town,’ a film adaptation of ‘The Prince of Thieves’ by Chuck Hogan, tells the story of Doug MacRay (Affleck); the leader of a ruthless cohort of bank robbers who ends up falling for bank manager and former hostage Claire Keesey (Rebecca Hall). Their relationship soon becomes the catalyst for the drama that unfolds.
The film also stars Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Jeremy Renner (Hurt Locker) and Blake Lively (Gossip Girl). Is it just me, or do a lot of trailers now seem to divulge just a little too much?
