Now in 2016, Jake Gyllenhaal has starred in The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon’s not-fake-at-all Point Pleasant Police Department, a gritty cop drama that’s only really good if you’ve got yourself a serious food fetish.
We’re beginning to think the show’s manic host might actually have one – Lord knows he loves his eggs – but shoehorning legitimate acting talents into gross bits doesn’t really get old. Especially when they’re subjected to projectile pie.
It’s unlikely this one will earn the bloke any more accolades, and the Writer’s Strike period was especially choppy, but just try resisting the silliness of it all. Truly, it’s juvenile stuff, but so is Donnie Darko and that’s still brill. Get messy:
