Whatever your feelings on the big, brash, Gathering Of The Juggalos-esque blockbuster that was Suicide Squad, it’s an empirical goddamn fact that Margot Robbie‘s Harley Quinn was the best thing about the movie.
She’ll soon be starring in and producing in her own solo film as part of DC‘s extended universe, and we are completely on board with that scenario, as we are with Ben Affleck‘s upcoming solo Batman film.
Suicide Squad underwent some pretty significant cuts before its final release, and Jared Leto has hinted that a lot of the shelved material concerned a potentially R-Rated love story between his tatted-up Joker and Harley Quinn.
Assuming we never get to see that, we’ll just have to make do with this Fifty Shades Of Grey-inspired mashup trailer that focuses on Harley and The Joker’s bad romance.
TBH, this version of the film would have been no better or worse than the actual Suicide Squad. JUST SAYING.
Margot Robbie has been tapped to host the season premiere of Saturday Night Live this coming October 1 – they probably already had a near-identical sketch planned and are spewing that they now have to cut it. Enjoy:
