DC’s upcoming Suicide Squad appears to be employing some sort of drip-feed marketing strategy, releasing images from the production every couple of weeks to give a little taste of its massive cast in action.
This week, it’s Margot Robbie‘s turn. The Aussie actress celebrated her 25th birthday on set, so the crew went ahead and got her a cake decorated with edible versions of classic comic book covers featuring her character Harley Quinn.
Robbie then shared the following photo on Instagram, giving fans a better look at her character as she will appear in the film (yay!) and DC some bonus Suicide Squad publicity (guess we fell for it):
A few weeks back, a series of shots showing Robbie as Quinn and Karen Fukuhara as Katana hit the internet:

The film also stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Jared Leto as The Joker, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc.
It’s currently scheduled for release in August, 2016.
