Watch: Hamish And Andy Bring Back Dwarfs As Prop Comedy

Meanwhile in Vietnam, Logie Award-winning boy next door duo, Hamish and Andy, arrived at episode 5 of their Asia Gap Year for the latest wave of madcap adventures and LOLs nudging the border of cultural insensitivity.

On last night’s episode we watched both dudes get kickboxed in the face by 6-year-old kids schooled in the art of Mui Thai Boxing, and saw Andy choke down the beating heart off a freshly murdered snake – considered a delicacy in Hanoi. The final segment was a spoof on the A Current Affair-style expose oeuvre, in which Hamish and Andy went undercover to find out whether Chinese market stall owners would charge Western tourists more than locals for the exact same item. They enlisted the help of some local dwarfs for a fail safe plan to uncover the truth.

First they met up with the locals, Ying and Li.

Ling and Yi were placed on Hamish and Andy’s shoulders…

With straps and harnesses for safety – obviously.

Then they put on large fake shoulder pads…

And added trench coats, and their disguises were complete.

Then they hit the market to test the theory:

You can watch the whole episode (or fast forward to the dwarf-hoisting segment from around the 38 minute mark) online.

Hamish and Andy are proof that a few hard years spreading sincere down-to-earth charm will eventually lead you to doing whatever the heck you want to do, as long as it’s done in the name of primetime ratings gold.
