There were two ways of looking at the romance of The Bachelorette Georgia Love and Lee Elliott.
On one hand, the show gave every indication they’re both solid individuals who’ve found genuine happiness with each other. That perception is bolstered by the emotional support Elliott can be seen offering to Love through her mother’s recent admission to a palliative care facility. As far as couples borne of reality TV go, these two seem rock solid, and props to ’em. Seriously.
However, it was also possible to switch your brain off, and reduce both of ’em to characters in a narrative that was meant to see Matty Johnson emerge as the show’s successful suitor. From that admittedly selfish and defunct angle, this video just posted by The Bachelorette could’ve come across as a message from Channel 10 that we are wrong, and will continue to be wrong, about everything. Ever.
That’s all in the (very recent) past though, ’cause you should be happy for these two. Even if the show toyed with our emotions yet again. Just look at ’em and try not to feel some kind of happiness. We dare you:
