
Seven years since her last Oscars hosting gig, Ellen Degeneres opened the 2014 Academy Awards with a monologue making fun of everyone: June Squibb for being old (B+), Liza Minnelli for being the best Liza Minnelli female impersonator (A+), Meryl Streep for being good at her job (C), Amy Adams for not receiving tertiary education (B-), your best friend Jennifer Lawrence for being a clutz (A-), Jared Leto for being the prettiest woman in the room (A) and everyone in Hollywood for being racist if 12 Years A Slave doesn’t win Best Picture (A+).
Final Grade: a solid A.
