Well, it’s definitely a different vibe to Harry Potter.
In Imperium, Daniel Radcliffe plays an idealistic young FBI agent who goes undercover in a radical white supremacist terror group who are planning to detonate a dirty bomb. It’s apparently based on the true story of Michael German, who spent a lot of time undercover in rightwing militias.
The trailer has dropped, and it looks pretty gritty and decent, despite Radcliffe’s not entirely convincing American accent:
Radcliffe is certainly doing his bit to divorce his reputation from being a boy wizard. Goose stepping around in a WHITE POWER shirt doing Nazi salutes is one way to go about it.
Imperium hits theatres and on-demand services in August.
