Written by novelist Nic Pizzolatto and helmed by Jane Eyre director Cary Fukunaga, True Detective will be comprised of eight one hour episodes traversing a seventeen year serial killer investigation, looks spectacular, will form part of a larger serial and premieres January 12th on HBO.
